Ibanez AAF-207 (ZELDZAAM!) 7-snarige archtop -7 snaren - 7 s

"THE" ultra-rare seven-strings archtop by Ibanez.

This guitar is comparable (in quality and body shape) to the current PM 200 Pat Metheny signature, but with an added string, a slightly shallower body and a back-of-the-headstock volute (in the style of Artstar series necks from the period). The nut is 50mm.

A reliable workhorse that beats most boutique lutherie guitars I tried so far, this was built at the FujiGen factory in the first year of production of the model, which was discontinued in 2003. This particular guitar has no particular cosmetic defects, other than patina having developed on metal parts (most notably on the pickup cover and tuners); no noticeable fretwear. No signs of use other than light marks on the pickguard. The trussrod cover still has the original plastic protection.

I can't say enough good things about AAF-200. I am only selling because I don't use electric guitar anymore and this guitar deserves to be played seriously.

Please note:

– the uncovered pickup shown in the first pictures was reverted back to the original, stock Di Marzio pickup. The guitar is currently ready for shipment in its original case (floating bridge safely disassembled and strings removed) as show in the pictures.

– do consider the rarity of this instrument before initiating negotiations. Additionally, the steep shipping- and custom fees I incurred upon importing this guitar to Europe do influence my selling price.
