ertex T Drive is a recreation of the legendary Trainwreck™ Express amplifier. Rooted in the tradition of British amplifiers from the 60s and 70s, Trainwrecks™ are known for their fast response and exceptional dynamics. The sound varies between a chimey-Vox to a Plexi-overdrive. In order to accurately replicate the harmonic complexity of the amplifiers, Vertex meticulously studied the tonal accuracy of real ones. In addition, past Trainwreck™ owners were consulted for guidance and feedback on A/B comparisons between their amplifiers and the pedal.
The quest to create the most accurate “Wreck-in-a-box” has resulted in this pedal. The drive pedal has the same dynamics, harmonic complexity and “voiced” overtones reminiscent of the amplifier that inspired it. The pedal is True Bypass and does not require an adapter.
