Temperature, humidity and CO2 controller with one output. The supply voltage is 24 V DC. Temperature, relative humidity, CO2 (carbon dioxide) and ambient light are all measured. This controller controls ventilation systems and regulates fan speed in commercial and residential environments. Based on the measured values, the sensor algorithm controls the single analog output. This single output can directly control an EC fan, a speed controller for AC fans or a valve actuator.

The following output types are available: 0-10 VDC / 0-20 mA / 0-100% PWM. Modbus RTU provides access to all measurements and the output value. The power supply can be connected via the terminal blocks or via the RJ45 connector.

The CO2 sensor element can be replaced if necessary. The ambient light sensor can be used in many applications to control the ventilation system based on the occupancy of the room. Modbus RTU can be used to change all settings. The light intensity of the LEDs used for status indication can also be adjusted.

Photoacoustic sensing technology
People produce CO2 or carbon dioxide when they breathe . Therefore, the CO2 concentration is a good indicator of the occupancy and activity level in a room. In many applications, CO2 sensors are used as an indicator of the ventilation requirement. This HVAC transmitter provides a clear, visual indication of the CO2 level via the green, yellow and red LED. The green LED indicates that the CO2 level is within range - there is sufficient fresh air supply. If the CO2 level enters the warning range, the yellow LED lights up. Red means that the CO2 level is too high or that there is insufficient fresh air supply. The measured temperature, relative humidity, CO2 and ambient light level are available via Modbus RTU. Photoacoustic sensing technology is used to measure the CO2 level. This makes the sensor very sensitive and specific , making it useful for the detection of various gases. The use of specific infrared wavelengths that correspond to CO2 absorption lines ensures that interference from other gases is minimized. How to control the fresh air supply?
The output of this sensor can directly control an EC fan, a speed controller for AC fans or a damper actuator . The output value varies proportionally in function of the measured temperature, humidity and CO2 concentration. If more fresh air is needed, the sensor increases the fan speed or opens the damper.RJ45 connection or terminal blocks?
With this sensor you have the choice to connect it via the spring terminals or via the RJ45 connector. The power supply and Modbus RTU communication can be connected via the RJ45 connector. You can connect the outputs, the Modbus RTU communication and the power supply via the terminal blocks. Never connect the power supply via the RJ45 connector and the terminal blocks at the same time. The power supply is 24 V DC . The ground terminals of the power supply (V-) and the output (GND) are not connected internally. This means that a 4-wire cable is required to connect this sensor. Most 24 V DC power supplies offer protection against short circuits, overloads and overvoltages. A 24 V DC power supply increases the safety and reliability of your installation.Easy to use
This sensor requires very little configuration. Once installed, it is ready for use almost immediately. Temperature and relative humidity are often regional and seasonal . These parameters are adjusted to the correct values during installation. The other default settings are suitable for most applications. However, they can also be adjusted via the respective Modbus registers if necessary . For example, a different output type can be selected to make it compatible with other devices: 0-10 VDC; 0-20 mA; 0-100% PWM; Modbus RTU. The light levels of the LEDs used for status indication are adjustable and you can choose to disable one or more readings . The Modbus register map provides a complete list of all programmable settings.Self-calibrating to compensate for sensor drift
The A BC logic self-calibrating algorithm is enabled by default. This algorithm is designed for use in applications where the CO2 concentration drops outside ambient conditions (400 ppm) at least once (15 minutes) in a 7 day period, typically occurring during periods of unoccupied conditions. The sensor will achieve its operational accuracy after 25 hours of continuous operation in a condition where it has been exposed to ambient reference levels of air containing 400 ppm ± 10 ppm CO2.Wall Mounting
The enclosure provides IP30 protection against dust and moisture ingress. The enclosure can be wall-mounted indoors. For optimum performance, the enclosure should be protected from direct sunlight.
