De BMW Z3 is een tweedeurs coupé en roadster met achterwielaandrijving die voor de modeljaren 1996 tot 2002 werd geproduceerd als vervolg op de Z1 die alleen in Europa verkrijgbaar is. Hoewel het zijn officiële debuut maakte op de North American International Auto Show in Detroit in januari 1996, kregen veel mensen een sneak preview in de James Bond-film GoldenEye uit 1995, waarin 007 kort in een blauwe Z3 reed in Cuba.

Nog spannender was de nieuwe M Roadster, met een 3,2-liter zescilinder met 321 pk. Dat is bijna 80 pk meer dan de Amerikaanse uitvoering. Een stijvere chassis-configuratie.

Het leven van deze Z3 M Roadster begon allemaal bij de BMW dealer Breeman te Rotterdam. Hier werd de BMW nieuw gekocht voor een nieuwprijs van bijna €73.000,-. Hij werd hier aangeschaft samen met de huidige hardtop, Sony radio, windscherm, linnen kap in 'schwarz', en een alarmsysteem. Na zijn eerste 2000 kilometers te hebben gereden, is hij weer teruggegaan naar Breeman voor zijn allereerste beurt. De laatste 19 jaar is hij in het bezit geweest van zijn 2e eigenaresse. Wanneer niet gereden, werd hij overdekt & verwarmd gestald. Dit is terug te merken in de huidige nette staat van de auto.

Deze Duitse 2-zitter is uitgevoerd in een nette 'arktis-silber', tegenover een volledig zwart nappa interieur. In deze combinatie zijn er slechts 221 stuks geproduceerd. Onderaan zijn er de welbekende 5-spaak 'style-40' Z3-M velgen te vinden.

De BMW produceert hiermee een indrukwekkende 321pk samen met 350nm aan koppel. Dit is een behoorlijk getal kijkend naar zijn relatief licht gewicht van 1.425kg (rijklaar). Met dit motorblok legt hij 0-100km/u af binnen 5,3 seconden. Dit komt samen met een topsnelheid van 250km/u. Recent heeft de Z3M groot onderhoud gehad. De multiriem + spanner is vernieuwd, de olie ververst en diverse pakkingen vervangen. Een factuur hiervan met een waarde van € 2471,- zit in de uitgebreide map met historie.

The BMW Z3 is a rear-wheel-drive two-door coupé and roadster produced for the 1996 to 2002 model years as a follow-up to the Z1 available only in Europe. Although it made its official debut at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit in January 1996, many people got a sneak preview in the 1995 James Bond film GoldenEye, in which 007 briefly drove a blue Z3 in Cuba.

Even more exciting was the new M Roadster, with a 3.2-litre six-cylinder with 321 hp. That's almost 80 hp more than the American version. A stiffer chassis configuration.

The life of this Z3 M Roadster all started at BMW dealer Breeman in Rotterdam. This is where the BMW was bought new at a new-car price of almost €73,000. It was purchased here along with the current hardtop, Sony radio, windshield, linen hood in 'schwarz', and an alarm system. After driving its first 2,000 kilometres, it went back to Breeman for its very first service. For the last 19 years, it has been owned by its 2nd owner. When not driven, it was stored covered & heated. This is reflected in the current clean condition of the car.

This German 2-seater is finished in a neat 'arktis-silber', opposite a full black nappa interior. Only 221 units were produced in this combination. At the bottom are the well-known 5-spoke 'style-40' Z3-M rims.

With this engine, it covers 0-100km/h in 5.3 seconds. This comes along with a top speed of 250km/h. Recently, the Z3M has had major maintenance. The V-belt + tensioner were renewed, the oil changed and various gaskets replaced. An invoice for this with a value of € 2471 is in the extensive history folder.
